A tavalyi Fuss NEKI adománygyűjtő esemény támogatásából létrejött eredmény beszámolója, röviden:
A kitűzött 5000 lejes célösszegünk több mint háromszorosára duzzadt, amely összegből egyrészt kertépítést fedeztünk, ebből a támogatásból 137 méter kerítés épült. Elkészítése szükségszerű volt egy védett terápiás környezet megteremtéséhez.
Másrészt 3 darab 5 méter hosszú magaságyás épülhet. Ebből egy ágyás fel is épült önkéntesek és fiataljaink szorgos segítségével.
Ezen magaságyások lehetővé teszik, hogy a mozgásukban korlátozott fiatalok is végezhessenek kerti tevékenységet, amelynek terápiás hatásai széleskörűek.

Ez az összeg valódi lenyomatot hagyott az egyesület kertjében, amely a fogyatékos fiataloknak biztosít tartalmas munkát, fejlődési, tanulási lehetőséget és terápiás környezetet. Jelenleg 16 fiatal élvezi ennek eredményét.

Since our last newsletter so much has happened: we moved into the old Cantor House of Kisgalambfalva, have achieved a provisional licence and received over £3,000 from a generous decision of one of our Trustees who suggested to their family and friends that instead of giving presents at their Birthday Ceilidh, they would give donations to our project, and over £2,000 from another Trustee who donated their consultancy fee earned when supporting another initiative.

More than a year ago we were offered the old Cantor House of Kisgalambfalva thanks to the generosity of the Reformed Church Community, and just after Easter this year we finally moved in, thus achieving a milestone in our community development - and the excitement was tangible!!
Many kind helpers contributed greatly to this moment, and we wish to specifically thank:
The Laminker Centre in Székelykeresztr for the materials and furniture for our kitchen (https://www.facebook.com/laminker) and
Ivan Mihaly, the father of one of our young adults, who then built our kitchen,
Barna Bajcsi, also a father, who plastered the walls,
László Putz and Tamás Putz for the plumbing work,
Parents who joined the preparation with their tools, cleaned, offered advice and especially their enthusiasm to achieve the desired goal. It was a true joint venture.
Our young people were equally active in the process from the beginning, waiting with the same anticipation and wondering how we could turn the old building into a lively, cosy little workshop and make it our own. Together with others they cleaned and packed everything so we could make the move.
We have now had the first workshop sessions in the new building, and it feels so homely and welcoming.
.Having finally met all the relevant criteria to operate a Day Service, we have now received our provisional licence which makes it possible for us to charge the referring Council a fee for the service we provide for the young adults we accompany. This is another important step along our path to becoming a locally recognised and a sustainable project

With the donations received since the last newsletter we are now financially viable until the end of August giving us more time to acquire secure funding.

We started the New Year with a new addition to the Community when, following some visits, Enikő joined us and she adds new colour to our Community,
Enikő enjoys good company, conversations, friends and being engaged with valuable tasks. She is the oldest of our young adults and brings humour and laughter to our lives.
Our main activity on Mondays is baking; it involves buying the ingredients, measuring and preparing the dough until we get to the point where we take our newly baked fragrant hot cakes out of the oven.
We measure, knead, cut, shape, brush, spray, pack, count, categorize, and more. In the end we taste a sample for quality control, and all being well are satisfied with our work!
We bake a lot of different kinds of bread, cakes and biscuits, and now we are starting a new baking project.
We enjoyed a lovely boisterous Carnival to the delight of the young adults of the Gondviselés Aid Organization and the Centre for Placement for Children with Severe Disabilities who joined us for the festivities.
We had fun dancing and playing various ball games in a fantastic atmosphere. It was a pleasure to be together again with all these lovely young people.
Early in March, volunteers from the Youth Association from Transylvania (thank you!) joined us and started the spring work in our garden. They helped to prepare the greenhouse so that soon our young adults can see the seeds and seedlings we planted and learn to care for them. Following this, they also helped us to prepare the cold frames ready for planting.
While we love to use our ‘Little Blue House’, we are growing in numbers as more people come to join us.
Therefor we are glad that the renovation of the old Cantor House of Kisgalambfalva which has been under way for some time, will allow us to soon transfer our activities and programs there, and give us more space. We have renovated two large rooms, bathrooms and a spacious yard and look forward to seeing this space come alive.
The Cantor House is located at walking distance from Harom Galamb, which allows us an opportunity to walk between our baking-cooking, weaving activities and garden work, and supports us being further immersed into the life of the local village.
In the meantime, we have received kind donations and offers of a stove, fridge, furniture, materials for a kitchen corner, rugs and cleaning equipment.
Thank you very much for these and for all the voluntary, selfless work which really helped us.
We are still accepting donations (both material donations and financial support) for the following items:
Laying the 12-metre pavement: materials and manpower
Two energy saving radiators while our central heating is being installed.
We would like to express our gratitude to the Reformed Church Community of Kisgalambfalva for allowing us to use the building and for supporting us in our building work.
Tuesdays are centred around the activity of weaving and in the New Year we welcomed our young adults back after the holidays with new colours to work with.
Some are learning basic skills while others are well into the complexities of weaving for example changing the shaft and pushing the shuttle through, … tasks that sound so simple but ones which require fine motor skills, concentration, coordination, and precision.
This old, traditional handcraft is an incredibly rich, nourishing therapeutic activity and we just love our weaving day.

Winter Newsletter 2022
Dear Readers,
With great excitement, we participated in Christmas markets in Székelykeresztúr and Székelyudvarhely on the same day. We came with beautiful products, and were proud of our young people, their parents who were very enthusiastic about getting involved with their own creativity, and our volunteers. We brought weavings, bookmarks, felt fairies, pincushions, mint tea, waxed canvas, painted spice and candle holders, textile sewn snipe candy, and lots of cheer and enthusiasm.

We also visited the Gyárfás Mansion, where we made Advent decorations, talked, sang, and had lunch together with the severely disabled children and their carers, as well as with the young disabled people from Miklósfalv and Boldogfalv. We shared our thoughts and Christmas ideas; it was a really good opportunity to meet.
Thursday mornings continue to be filled with folk dance sessions. On the International Day of Tolerance, the 3rd grade students of the Berde Moses Unitarian High School visited us and danced with us, singing funny folk songs and on Santa Claus day, the 7th grade students and their teachers delighted our young people with a giant Christmas card they had made, Santa Claus packages, Christmas songs and games.
In addition, there was also a nativity scene, presented to us by Olga Kincses, a folk dance instructor, in a fairytale-like way.
During the early winter we completed 137m of fencing, made possible by the money donated to us during the Fuss NEKI fundraising event, for which we are once again grateful to our generous supporters and ambassadors alike. We are very pleased with its completion. A further 75 m of fencing was erected with a grant from the Bethlen Gábor Fund. Our organic garden is now protected from uninvited visits by wild animals and sheepdogs.
In recent weeks, the yard has been buzzing with the noise of construction machinery as we saw the foundation of our own Day Care Centre being poured, which is a really big step in our development and expansion.
In the meantime, the work at the church, where we would like to move our day service until our own building is complete, is nearly finished. Thank you for the work undertaken by Barna Bajcsi, Ágink's father, István Dezső, Lehel Szappanyos, László Putz and László Kecseti, who all gave their time and energy meaning we are getting closer to moving in.

With fond memories of 2022, we will now take a short holiday to celebrate Christmas and then, in January, we will be recharged and ready to resume the work we have started.
A BETHLEN GÁBOR ALAP által megítélt támogatásból a kerítés felújításnak a legsürgetőbb szakaszát sikerült megvalósítani
Az elmúlt év során a kert kialakítása folyamatos feladatot jelentett számunkra, szakértőket vontunk be a hosszútávú stratégiák kidolgozásába. Az elmúlt szezonban már számos zöldséget és gyümölcsöt takaríthattunk be. Folyamatosan dolgozunk a termőtalaj természetes módszerekkel való feljavításán.
A kertgazdálkodásunk továbbfejlesztésének fontos mozzanata volt a területünk bekerítése, melynek megvalósítását egyrészt a Bethlen Gábor ZRT általi résztámogatásból sikerült finanszírozni.
A BGA által megítélt támogatásból a kerítés felújításnak a legsürgetőbb szakaszát sikerült megvalósítani, a támogatás fedezte az anyag és munkadíj egy részét ezen szakaszon.
A terület bekerítése fontos volt, hiszen a kerítés biztosítja, hogy a kerti javakban az őzek, nyulak, medve ne tehessenek kárt. Ugyanakkor körzetünkben különös problémát jelent a kertek magántulajdonának tiszteletben nem tartása. A kerítés ebben is hozzájárul a termékeink megvédéséhez.
Ugyanakkor a fogyatékos fiatalokkal való munkában fontos egy biztonságosan elhatárolt terület megteremtése. A kerti munka a fiatalok fejlesztő és terápiás programjának szerves részét képezi.
A kert elkészülése kiteljesíti mind az előrehaladásunk, mind a tevékenységeink bővítését. Hálásak vagyunk minden kis és nagy lépésért, amely fenntarthatóságunkat támogatja.
A BETHLEN GÁBOR ALAP TÁMOGATÁSÁVAL FÓLIÁT KAPTAK A HÁROM GALAMB EGYESÜLET FIATALJAI - KÖSZÖNJÜK!
Megragadnánk az őszi betakarítás idejét, hogy köszönetünket fejezzük ki a Bethlen Gábor Alapnak, aminek jóvoltából egy 6x10 méteres fóliát szerezhettünk be. A fólia felállítására a Három Galamb kertjében került sor. A fólia egy komplexebb infrastrukturális fejlesztés része. A Három Galamb kertjének részét képező domboldal ez év tavasza során teraszosításra került, ahol a zöldség és gyümölcstermesztés helye lesz. Ehhez kapcsolódóan kiépítésre került egy öntözőrendszer, amelyet a birtokon található 2 kút táplál. Ezen teraszok aljában kapott helyet az új fólia.
A fólia felállítására önkéntes erővel, kaláka formájában került sor. Itt szeretnénk köszönetünket kifejezni az alábbi személyeknek, akik szorgos kezekkel, lelkesedéssel és biza kemény fizikai munkával, hozzájárultak a szép eredményhez: Imecs Zoltán, Máté Pál, Máté Edit, Rúzsa László, Soó István, Bertalan Barna, Szappanyos Lehel, Tamási Tibor, Zait Bogdan Ioan.
Programunk a hagyományos székely háztáji gazdálkodásra és az azt kiegészítő kézműves foglalkozásokra épül. Az ennek szerves részét képező kerti tevékenységeket terápiás, fejlesztő céllal alkalmazzuk, ahol a tartalmas, valós igényt szolgáló munka, a hagyományőrzés, a szépség, a természetes anyagok használata, a termőföld védelme, gazdagítása, a helyi közösségi életbe való bekapcsolódás, alapértékek. A fólia ennek a nagyobb egésznek képezi részét.
A kertgazdálkodás továbbfejlesztése fontos alappillére az anyagi fenntarthatósági modellnek, amelyet szervezetünk követni kíván. A fólia lehetővé teszi a mezőgazdasági szezon korábbi elindítását és ősszel további folytatását. A fóliában palántáinkat magunk termeszthetjük, ezáltal is kisebb befektetéssel termelve zöldségeinket. A következő mezőgazdasági évben már bevételt generálhatunk a kerti tevékenységeinkből, ezáltal haladva a fenntarthatósági célunk elérése felé.
Jelenleg 7 fiatal jár rendszeres heti foglalkoztatásra a Három Galamb nappali program keretében, akik szüleik gondozásában otthon élnek. Ezenfelül további 12 fogyatékos felnőtt jár alkalomszerűen kerti munka keretében történő terápiás és fejlesztő alkalmakra, akik az állami gondozói rendszer keretében, védett otthonban élnek.
Az elmúlt év során 18 helyi és nemzetközi önkéntes vett részt programunkban. A fogyatékos fiatalok igényeivel való megismerkedés, az organikus gazdálkodás alapjaiba való betekintés, valamint a közösség-építés élményének megmutatása által ezen önkéntesek szószólóivá válnak az általunk képviselt ügynek.
Családi alkalmaink keretében, a fiatalok szülei (22) is bekapcsolódtak a kerti munkába (beleértve a fólia felállítását is), amelyeket kalákák formájában szerveztünk és kiemelkedő közösségépítő hatásuk volt.
Hosszútávon ezek a számok nőni fognak. Célunk, hogy 12 fiatalnak kínáljunk fel rendszeres heti foglalkozást. Folytatjuk a kalákák szervezését a kerti munka elvégzésére, amelyeken a fiatalok, szülők, önkéntesek és a helyi faluközösség tagjai vesznek részt. Mindemellett a régió magyar közösségének piaca további helyi organikus termékekkel bővül, melyek a termőföld védelmével, a környezetvédelemre való odafigyeléssel, a hagyományos székely háztáji gazdálkodás ápolásával születnek.
SZEREPCSERE
Fogyatékos fiatalok készítettek programot töltekező szüleiknek
Egy csodálatos alkalomra volt lehetőségünk a Bethlen Gábor Alap támogatásával. Csütörtök délután zsongással telt meg az igényesen felújított kisgalambfalvi kultúrotthon. Szólt az élő népzene, jártak a lábak, tapsoltak a kezek, gurultak a tolószékek és mosoly ült ki az arcokra Kincses Olga tánctanár és a zenészek, Kincses Ilka Mária, Barabás Szabolcs és Szabó Péter vezetésével.
A tánc után fényképeket nézhettünk az elmúlt hónapok munkájáról, eredményeiről és kávé, sütemény mellett beszélgethettünk.
Ezt követően Szász Cserey Katalin, unitárius lelkész asszony, egy meseterápiás foglalkozásra hívta meg a szülőket a Három Galamb székhelyén, ahol egy kicsit csak magukban elcsendesedhettek, megoszthatták egymással gondolataikat, érzéseiket.
Eközben a 11 fiatal azon tüsténkedett, hogy finom vacsora kerüljön az asztalra a szüleik elkényeztetésére. Zsömlét sodortunk, zöldséget vágtunk és hamarosan frissen sült kenyér, lecsó és kolbász illat töltötte be a konyhát. A kezdeti zsongás figyelmes munkává csendesült, majd felszabadult ropogós nevetésekbe csapott. Volt aki kissé félénkebben a tágas kertben ismerkedett a Három Galamb által kínált környezettel.
Mivel a délután gyorsabban elszállt, mint gondoltuk, a kézműves tevékenységelre nem került sor. Ezért egy újabb alkalom született ebből. Ezennel a dolgos kezek, szülők és fiatalok egyaránt, viaszos vásznat, forgó babzsákot, valamint receptes emlékfüzetet gyártottak. Előkerültek a színes zsírkréták, olló, ragasztó, lyukasztó, festék, fonalak, miközben az olvadó méhviasz illata járta át a levegőt. A végén vidám játszás következett, amikor kipróbáltuk az újonnan gyártott forgókat. Köszönjük a sok önkéntes segítséget, amelyek lehetővé tették ezt a tartalmas együttlétet. #BETHLENGÁBORALAP

Carnival
This year we had a nice celebration of Carnival with the Gondviselés Aid Organization in Cristuru-Secuiesc. The youngsters and their families participated. There was singing, dancing and playing fun games. We all changed our identity for a while: there were policewoman, Dalmatian dog, wolf, clown, witch and so on. We had space for talking with each other, and enjoying a cup of tea and some sweet treats.
Our partnership with the Gondviselés right from the beginning has brought a lot of fruits. We are grateful for all the shared events, activities, connections and expertise.

Christmas Market 2021
One of the events of 2021 was the Christmas Market in the town of Cristuru-Secuiesc. The team of Három Galamb with its young adults had a magical winter experience here. Before the days of the Market we prepared many handmade products with the young adults, parents and volunteers: postcards, baby Jesus in a walnut crib, felted soaps, and beeswax wraps. It was a big pleasure going to the Market and showing the table clothes we wove in our workshop. The big variety of colors made our stall very beautiful. We can say that every bystander said a few nice words seeing the results of our work.
